Infant & Toddler Program
Our infant classroom serves children ages six weeks to one year. The Toddler One classroom serves children who are one year old and walking. Toddler Two and Three serve our two year old children. Each classroom provides many opportunities for the children to develop new skills and explore the environment around them. These classrooms have a 1:4 ratio, one teacher to every four children. Each classroom is licensed to provide care for eight children which allows for individual attention and a safe, comfortable environment.
Much of the day for infants revolves around each child's individual schedule, consistency is established through consistent staffing patterns that foster strong primary relationships between the children and their caregivers. Infants are provided with a safe, secure, and stimulating environment. In addition to meeting each infant's basic needs, the teachers are attentive and encourage gross motor and sensory development by giving the children opportunities to crawl and interact with the world around them.
A consistent daily routine provides the structure for the toddlers' program. Play is an important way toddlers explore materials, test ideas, and start figuring out why something happens. Through individual attention and respectful interactions, the teachers help the children learn about and deal with transitions, understand and respect limits, and respect each other. The classroom is a language-rich environment with books on low shelves that the children can reach and look through at any time. A typical day in our toddler classroom includes:

- group time with songs, stories, and games
- small group activities such as working with play dough or painting
- outdoor play or time in our playroom to build those muscles and develop gross motor skills
- child led active, hands-on play to explore the classroom and interact with peers
